A Hyatt company code alone does not guarantee a room upgrade. Check the rate's terms and your World of Hyatt benefits: a check-in upgrade depends on eligibility and availability, while a Suite Upgrade Award is a separate option.
If your company's agreement includes an upgrade, confirm its room category and conditions with the hotel. Otherwise, assess any personal membership benefit separately from the company discount.
What your membership tier can provide
Hyatt's Room Upgrade page describes an upgrade based on availability when you check in at participating locations. A higher membership tier changes the possible room assignment, not the timing of that availability decision.

The same benefit page lists Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Destination Residences and Hyatt Vacation Club as locations where this benefit is not offered. Confirm participation for your specific property rather than extending the table to every Hyatt-associated hotel.
Check whether your company booking qualifies
Hyatt's eligibility summary says in-hotel benefits apply when a member pays an eligible rate or uses an applicable award night at a participating property. It includes published Volume Account Rates among eligible rates, so a company rate is not automatically disqualified.
The summary also excludes third-party online retail rates and contracted rooms, among other categories. Ask whether your exact reservation qualifies. The involvement of a company travel agent alone does not tell you which rate category was booked.
A Suite Upgrade Award has a different timing
The Milestone Rewards summary describes a Suite Upgrade Award for a standard suite, confirmed at booking, for up to seven nights. It is a separate award with participation and usage restrictions. Entering a company code does not apply an award for you.
If you need a particular amount of space, book the room type you require or obtain confirmation that an eligible award has been applied. Do not plan around a possible check-in upgrade.
Ask the hotel or your authorized company travel team: Does this rate include any confirmed upgrade? Does it qualify for my World of Hyatt tier benefit at this property? If I have a Suite Upgrade Award, can it be applied to this reservation and confirmed before arrival?
